Steve Forbes: Honorary Chairman of Iowans for
Discounted Taxes!
Steve Forbes is President and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes
Magazine, the world's leading business magazine. Forbes,
Inc., the publisher, is a family owned company located
in New York City. Mr. Forbes ran for the Republican
nomination for President of the United States in 1996
and 2000. His economic projections and business success
are widely recognized and he is regarded by many as
the voice of the conservative wing of the Republican
Party.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Advising IDT! on tax policy, political
matters, and opening doors where his influence is critical.
Kevin McLaughlin: President &

Kevin McLaughlin is a native Iowan who has been active
in politics since 1977. Kevin is in the investment business
in Johnston and specializes in retirement plans for
businesses and personal portfolio work at BDF Investments,
a division of Broker Dealer Financial Services. He also
was a volunteer on both of the Forbes campaigns having
served as Polk County Chair in 1996, and as Vice-Chair
for Iowa in 2000.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Operation of the 501(c)(4), fundraising,
lobbying and serving the needs of the other IDT! Directors
in order to put more money in your pocket and solve
Iowa's deficit problem.
Jean K. "BJ" James-McLaughlin: Vice
President, Corporate Secretary bjjamesconsulting@gmail.com
BJ is the owner of Media Marketing Services, Inc. and
Bride & Groom Expo in Des Moines. She specializes
in multi-media marketing/consulting and event planning.
BJ's work involves the planning, promotion and execution
of agricultural, home and bridal shows.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Corporate secretary, advise on media/communications
issues and keep IDT! on message.
Michael Krull: Treasurer mkrull@michaelkrull.com
Michael Krull is originally from Iowa. Michael worked in the White
House for the George H. W. Bush Administration and has numerous contacts
both inside and outside politics across the country. He now works for
American Solutions in Washington, DC, in an effort to enhance security,
advance freedom and promote prosperity for every American.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Public relations, communications and
managing relations with influential individuals and
other non-profits which may be helpful to IDT!.
Leon V. Mosley: Director
Leon is a member of the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors
and is the Co-Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa.
He was originally with Deere & Co. in Waterloo,
but his work in recent years has revolved around law
enforcement and fighting the war on drugs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Relations with the Republican Party,
and the Iowa General Assembly, but especially building
the coalitions in the House and Senate to ensure that
Iowans get Discounted Tax Reform, the most rewarding
solution to our current fiscal problems.
James B. Kersten: Director jbk@mchsi.com
Jim is from Fort Dodge and is a former state Senator.
He is Associate Vice President of Development and Government
Affairs at Iowa Central Community College and is President
of Golden Dome Strategies, LLC., a public policy consulting
firm advising and assisting clients in Iowa and Washington,
D.C. Jim will also work on building support in the House
and Senate, and his efforts will be critical to IDT!'s
success.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Coalition building in the Iowa
House and Senate in order to get the OPTION of Discounted Tax Reform for every
Iowan and every Iowa-based business.
